Hi All
I've been reading through your blogs as you approach the deadline and have noticed a few things you all need to fix (well, most of you!).
1. LABELS - they MUST be on your blog, on posts and by adding a gadget. This must be visible near the top of your page. Labels can be detailed or represent 'overviews'. If you have lots of detailed labels, please add some 'overview' labels for the purpose of marking and examination. Use the headings on the feedback sheet Mr P and I used last week to feedback to you - 'Music Video Research' 'Music Video Analysis' 'Costume' etc etc. We (and the examiner) need to be able to find your work quickly.
2. WEBSITES, DIGIPACKS and VIDEOS - these MUST be on your blog and must appear as the first items seen. The Video MUST be the first item. Your website MUST have a live link and if possible, embed it too. You should certainly clearly list which pages you designed (if you're in a group) and who you worked with. Their blog MUST be linked to yours. You should add any notes about technical issues - such as 'The Twitter feed is set up to link to Twitter but does not work on purpose' - basically - tell us - tell the examiner - your work processes, issues and show your understanding. You should, for example, mention how your site might be viewed differently on different devices, smartphones, 4:3 screens, laptops.
3. ANCILLARY TASKS - PROCESS - You should show process for your work so there should be some before, during and after pictures for some of your print/web design work. This shows your work contains original images you took and manipulated - which is what you're getting the marks for basically. You can easily screengrab anything on a mac using Cmd+Shift+4 and set the capture area. Letting go of the mouse takes the 'shot' and it saves on the desktop.
If there is ANYTHING you do not know how to do or need help with ASK NOW so we can help you BEFORE the deadline and it's too late!

Whoops Apocalypse! No need to panic...
UPDATE
So this is a new one on me but there you go - in the industry you have to be ready for anything and often be very, very patient! You may spend hours standing around on set getting apparently nowhere (not to mention cold and hungry and a little cross at times) and then have to edit 5 hours worth of stuff in 1, so think of this as good practice!
99% of your sequences are backed up fully - that is footage AND render files (your timelines) although we cannot guarantee that everything will be perfect until we try it.
In the meantime it is going to be tricky as you can't edit in 57 or 58 although we will work out ways for you to work as soon as possible and get things finished, even if you relocate to 58. We'll ensure you have everything you need to continue and meet the deadlines.
Please make sure you have a copy of the new schedule - obviously we may have to move things a bit as new equipment and macs may not all arrive perfectly to plan but we will all make the deadlines so don't worry. Just stay focused, do as you're asked and use this time now to ensure other tasks are done.
You can't use much in media at the moment but you need to come and check in with us so we can set you all work, appropriate to your individual progress/project. This will involve catching up on blogging and working on your ancillary projects. We are FLEXIBLE but we MUST see you and help you organise and set what work you will be doing. We will plan with you, help you and CHECK you are doing what you say/plan.
WHAT TO DO
1. CHECK IN WITH US for your individual instructions - we can negotiate.
2. DO COME AT LESSON TIMES (unless agreed in advance).
3. Whilst you can't edit - Get your BLOGS UP TO DATE - you MUST use this non-editing time usefully as you have no more time, just time in a different order. So you still have the same amount of weeks, but whilst you can't edit, you must do some of the 'later jobs' instead, then when you get to the 'later jobs' time, you can edit (if you see what I'm saying).
4. Keep coming in to see us - things are changing daily. We will start work on evaluation preparation soon which involves SHOWING YOU how to utilise and get the most out of the software tools you DO have to create your multimodal evaluations and TELLING YOU what you need to do to get all the marks!
5. We may start some prep for the exam topics so don't miss out!
At the end of the day you MUST come to lessons - what we will be doing is fluid and changing on a daily basis. We can negotiate but you must do this in ADVANCE. We will still mark registers, follow up absences and monitor your progress electronically so there's no escape! Get your blogs/ancillary work done now. Then get ready to edit your heads off!

Recording Production Progress
At the beginning of each lesson please:
In your notebook/sketchbook or on your blog record FOR EACH LESSON what you want to achieve in the session - think of it as setting your own learning outcome/learning objective. It only needs to be a sentence or two long and could be bullet points.
At the end of each lesson please:
In the SAME PLACE as you've recorded your aims for the session, please record what you ACTUALLY achieved - a couple of sentences or bullets is fine. This will help you to construct/blog a progression later if you have gaps and will help with your evaluation questions and exam paper (both of which ask you about progression).
