Whoops Apocalypse! No need to panic...

UPDATE
So this is a new one on me but there you go - in the industry you have to be ready for anything and often be very, very patient! You may spend hours standing around on set getting apparently nowhere (not to mention cold and hungry and a little cross at times) and then have to edit 5 hours worth of stuff in 1, so think of this as good practice!

99% of your sequences are backed up fully - that is footage AND render files (your timelines) although we cannot guarantee that everything will be perfect until we try it.

In the meantime it is going to be tricky as you can't edit in 57 or 58 although we will work out ways for you to work as soon as possible and get things finished, even if you relocate to 58. We'll ensure you have everything you need to continue and meet the deadlines.

Please make sure you have a copy of the new schedule - obviously we may have to move things a bit as new equipment and macs may not all arrive perfectly to plan but we will all make the deadlines so don't worry. Just stay focused, do as you're asked and use this time now to ensure other tasks are done.

You can't use much in media at the moment but you need to come and check in with us so we can set you all work, appropriate to your individual progress/project. This will involve catching up on blogging and working on your ancillary projects. We are FLEXIBLE but we MUST see you and help you organise and set what work you will be doing. We will plan with you, help you and CHECK you are doing what you say/plan.

WHAT TO DO
1. CHECK IN WITH US for your individual instructions - we can negotiate.
2. DO COME AT LESSON TIMES (unless agreed in advance).
3. Whilst you can't edit - Get your BLOGS UP TO DATE - you MUST use this non-editing time usefully as you have no more time, just time in a different order. So you still have the same amount of weeks, but whilst you can't edit, you must do some of the 'later jobs' instead, then when you get to the 'later jobs' time, you can edit (if you see what I'm saying).
4. Keep coming in to see us - things are changing daily. We will start work on evaluation preparation soon which involves SHOWING YOU how to utilise and get the most out of the software tools you DO have to create your multimodal evaluations and TELLING YOU what you need to do to get all the marks!
5. We may start some prep for the exam topics so don't miss out!

At the end of the day you MUST come to lessons - what we will be doing is fluid and changing on a daily basis. We can negotiate but you must do this in ADVANCE. We will still mark registers, follow up absences and monitor your progress electronically so there's no escape! Get your blogs/ancillary work done now. Then get ready to edit your heads off!
