Your task is to prepare a 10 minute presentation for the next lesson. It should be on your own chosen music video and you must post the finished item on your blog. We will have a lesson on how to export a powerpoint including video. Please note you must also complete your LIPSYNC - see below for guidance.
You should follow the guidance as follows. The deadline is:
13E - Tuesday 18th Sept P3
13A - Tuesday 18th Sept P5
Lipsync deadline for posting on blog - Friday 21st Sept
GUIDANCE
The 10 mins includes time to play the music video through - don't choose one that's too long. Allows time for clips within the presentation too - again, not too long.
Comment on the following:
- Narrative - is there one? is there a partial narrative? why is it important/relevant?
- Representation - who is represented in the video? in what ways? why is it important/relevant?
- Camera movement - does it match the 'shape' of the music? what happens and why?
- Editing - does the editing always cut on the beat? are there any interesting edits? does the editing create meaning or obscure it?
- What is the relationship between the visuals of the video and the lyrics of the song?
- What star 'image' or brand is being presented? How is the artist positioning themselves?
